That's the ticket- Disney Ticket Prices |
|
|
Disney has recently instituted an all new ticketing system. It allows for guest to pick and choose more of what they want to include, and less of what they dont -- making the tickets far more cost effective in the overall scheme of things.
The new system also offers substantial savings to those purchasing tickets good for longer stays. The premise is that you start out by purchasing a base ticket, from there you can add on what ever options are of interest to you
again saving more the longer the tickets are good for.

The Base ticked admits 1 guest to 1 theme park for the number of days chosen. For example, if you purchase a base ticket for the Magic Kingdom you will be allowed admittance to only the Magic Kingdom for the number of days your ticket is good for.

The park hopper option allows guests to ?hop? between parks for the number of days chosen. For example; if you add the park hopper option to a 5-day base ticket you may enter any of the major Walt Disney World theme parks (including the Magic Kingdom, Disney-Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Epcot) at any time during the 5 days your ticket is valid for. Guests can even enter all 4 parks on a single day if they wish (though I wouldn’t suggest trying it).

The Water Park Fun & More option allows guests to visit select Walt Disney World venues (including Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest, and Disneys Wide World of Sports) for the specified number of visits during the days their base tickets are valid for. For example if you purchase a Water Park Fun & More option for a 6- day ticket you will be able to visit any combination of the venues listed above up to 5 times. You could visit Blizzard Beach all 5 times or you could visit Pleasure Island once, DisneyQuest once, and Typhoon Lagoon 3 times get the idea?
Each time you enter one of the venues it counts as a visit so if you head to Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon and then Pleasure Island in the evening you have used 2 of your allotted visits (regardless of whether you use them all in a single day or spread out the visits over the time your ticket is valid for).

This is fairly new
in the past Walt Disney World tickets never expired, now they expire within 14 days from the first day you use them. For example if you use your ticket for the first time on the 1st of the month, your tickets are only valid (and only for the number of days you have chosen) until the 15th. If however you purchase the No Expiration option they will be valid to use at any time in the future (again only for the number of days you have chosen). For example if you use 3 days of a 5-day ticket and have purchased the No Expiration option, you may, at any time in the future, use the remaining 2 days.
If you havent purchased the No Expiration option and you only use 3 of the days on a 5-day ticket the remaining 2 days will expire (after the 14 day period) and be of no use.
