ESPN Weekend comes to Disney fans will have an opportunity to see and hear ESPN personalities and a host of current and legendary athletes during ESPN The Weekend (which takes place from February 29th -March 2, 2008, at Disney's Hollywood Studios).
Special events throughout the weekend include Hollywood-style motorcades, talk shows, sports star conversations, live ESPN telecasts and plenty of interactive fun in the ESPN Sports Zone and in addition, more than 60 sports celebrities are expected to appear at the annual sports fan-fest. On-site ESPN telecasts of popular programs, including "Baseball Tonight," "First Take," "Mike and Mike in the Morning," "NFL Live" and interview segments on "SportsCenter" will also take place during the celebration.
Some of the athletes scheduled to take part in the "three-day weekend" event include New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs and wide receiver Amani Toomer, Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, baseball legend Cal Ripken, Orlando Magic All Star Dwight Howard, tennis legend Martina Navratilova and the famous Harlem Globetrotters. ESPN personalities scheduled to be part of the lineup include Jay Crawford, Peter Gammons, Mike Greenberg, Orestes Destrade, Mike Tirico, Colin Cowherd, Mike Golic, Linda Cohn, John Kruk, Karl Ravech, Jemele Hill and Trey Wingo. St. Patrick's Day fun will last longer than a weekend at Downtown Disney as Walt Disney World guests are treated to a variety of special entertainment at Pleasure Island beginning March 14 and at Raglan Road Irish Restaurant & Pub beginning March 16.

- For everyone interested in celebrating St. Patrick's Day "the Irish way," the Irish owners of Raglan Road Irish Restaurant & Pub have lined up a program of Irish music, song and dance for March 16 and 17. Featured will be U2 Elevation, the world's most popular U2 tribute band, playing a mix of the band's songs. In addition, Tuskar Rock, Raglan Road's imported house band, will present their unique mix of traditional and contemporary Irish music accompanied by award-winning Irish dancer Danielle Fitzpatrick. The Braves are into their 11th Major League Baseball spring training season at Disney's Wide World of Sports. This year's spring training schedule includes games against reigning National League East Division champion Philadelphia (March 4) and American League Central Division champion Cleveland (March 12 and March 21).
Individual-game tickets can be purchased at the Disney's Wide World of Sports box office or through Ticketmaster at 407/839-3900.
