Disney's Pirate & Princess Party
Disney's Pirate & Princess Party is Disney’s latest addition to the already fabulous lineup of after-hours eventsand features a lineup of all-new pirate and princess themed epirate parade picntertainment. Families can grab an adventure map and treasure bag (both handed out as you enter the park) and embark on a quest for colorful beads, chocolate doubloons and more. Adventurers can explore the park on a quest for pirate coves and princess courts brimming with specially themed entertainment, participate in character meet-and-greets and experience some of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions open throughout the evening. Entertainment includes the "Magic, Music and Mayhem" fireworks spectacular and "Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade", an all new (and very impressive) pirate-and-princess themed parade.

Guests are welcome- even encouraged to dress up as their favorite pirate or princess.

Call 407/934-7639 or go online at www.disneyworld.com/pirateandprincess for tickets and additional information.

- "Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade" features a new 39-foot-long raucous pirate ship overflowing with swashbuckling adventurers, plus a treasure-filled float with Captain Jack Sparrow himself. The colorful cavalcade moves down Main Street, U.S.A. with the twirling Jolly Roger Flag Corps -- plus royal knights on horseback, court dancers and a regal processional of Disney princesses and princes.

- "Magic, Music and Mayhem," a fireworks display orchestrated to an original musical score, will fill the sky above Magic Kingdom.

Party highlights Include:
-Adventureland: The great Captain himself (and believe me, you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference) leads the Pirate Tutorial, recruiting pint-sized pirates-to be to become part of his buccaneer crew. Kids are invited to partake in swordplay and plenty of swashbuckling silliness.

You’ll also find entertainment including the Rusty Cutlass Pirate Band, Princess Jasmines Royal Guard Recruitment, and The Amazing Agrabats.

-Fantasyland: Dance the night away at “Sebastian’s Under the Sea dance party” as DJ Shelldon spins the latest tunes. Additional entertainment is provided by the Fantasyland Woodwind Society.

- Toontown: Princesses offer a private audience allowing for a more personal meet-andgreet.
Adventurers in search of a challenge can try their luck at the carnival-style games.

-Frontierland and Liberty Square: The Liberty Bell has been haunted just for the event – and the ghost of Jolly Roger is at the helm. Street-style entertainment includes the musical sounds of the Riverboat Roulettes and the Ramblin’ Rustlers.

- Tomorrowland: Eclipse’s Mixes Dance Party and Exlipses’ Mini-Mixes is filled with out-of-this-world fun for all ages. And the E.T.P.’s (a group of breakdancers from beyond) show off their celestial stuff.

Throughout the park you’ll find plenty of meet-and-greet opportunities, some unlike any you could find during the daylight hours – including a chance to meet Cinderella in her sparkling royal carriage.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party(2007) will be held on select nights in September and October. As details are released (including specific dates and ticket prices) they will of course, be posted. Keep in mind however that this is a separately ticketed after hours event. The party starts only after thhappy hallo pice park has closed to the public and is open only to those holding tickets for the event (not simply theme park admission tickets).

In Brief: Guests are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes (though it is not a requirement by any means) and trick-or-treat their way throughout the park. The family-friendly fun includes special Halloween themed activities and events including the "Boo-to-You" Halloween parade and the bewitching "Happy HalloWishes" fireworks display. In addition to all the not-so-spooky fun, guests can ride their favorite rides, shop for souvenirs, and grab a bite to eat as many of the parks most popular attractions, shops, and restaurants are up and running throughout the event.

This is an one of the most popular theme park events - in years past many of the nights have sold out…and well in advance (most especially Friday evenings and the evenings
throughout the entire last week of October -which should come as no great surprise given that Halloween falls on October 31st).

For the most up to date ticket information or simply to purchase tickets for the event, call 407-W-DISNEY (407- 934-7639) or click over to

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival(2007)
peter and capt'n hook picThe festival bursts into bloom earlier than ever - April 5 - and keeps on blooming for a record 60 days - through June 3. Whimsical character topiaries, brilliant beds of flowers, rose displays, water gardens and
many more verdant exhibits set the scene around Epcot Future World and World Showcase for a garden party like no other. Guests can participate in daily seminars focused on gardening, crafts and other topics.

For youthful "green thumbs," there's plenty of fun, too, including a special children's garden,
Growing Future Gardeners, which will feature family gardening projects.

Minnie's Magnificent Butterfly Garden will return with hundreds of butterflies in a screened, walk-through enclosure that will include a live exhibit showing how caterpillars form a chrysalis and emerge as butterflies. Pirate Mickey Mouse and Princess Minnie Mouse, plus Cinderella and Prince Charming, Belle and her Beast from "Beauty and the Beast," and other popular characters make topiary appearances throughout the park. In all, there will be more than 70 topiaries - plus artfully designed floral beds, expertly crafted bonsai trees and lush rose gardens.

The family-oriented
Growing Future Gardeners area, complete with colorful (and tasty) planting ideas for kids and parents, doubles in size this year following an overwhelming response during its 2006 debut.

Beyond the dazzling displays of bursting blooms, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is known by gardening aficionados for its celebrity guest speakers, hands-on seminars and innovative planting demonstrations and exhibits such as the new Art of Outdoor Living garden next to the Morocco pavilion.
