While not exactly a vacation package, it would certainly fall into a related category.
Magical Gatherings is Disney’s newest program designed to help families, largerfamilies, extended families, and groups of families plan their Walt Disney World vacations. It includes specialized services and features for Magical Gatherings along with extraordinarily unique experiences available for booking for a Grand Gathering (a Magical Gathering for 8 or more people).
Services include:
-A vacation planning kit that includes a DVD or video providing step-by-step instructions on how to plan a Magical Gathering.
-Web-based planning that allows for communication between families throughout the planning process, allowing families to participate in group discussions, list favorite attractions, take polls and cast votes on what is a must-see or must-do, and create their vacation itinerary. Magical Fireworks Voyage
After Captain Hook and Mr. Smee have sent you on your way, you can view the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes fireworks spectacular from the water, entertained all the while by Patch the Pirate. Peter Pan will welcome you back to shore, waiting to sign autographs and pose for photos.
Safari Celebration Dinner
The group will safari through the jungles of Africa on the Kilimanjaro Safaris, after which they will dine at the Tusker House, where some of the Disney characters will make an appearance and entertainment will be provided.
International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception
Guests will partake in a storytelling dinner experience complete with a visit from one of the Disney characters, after which they will enjoy the “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” nighttime spectacular from a reserved and up-close viewing area.
All of the Grand Gatherings experiences are at an additional per-person cost ranging anywhere from $11.99-$19.99 for children 3-9 and $24.99-$59.99 for those 10 and up. And new this year is the addition of Magical Beginnings, a special program decidated to travel with tinier tots. Designed with preschoolders and toddlers in mind, Magical Beginnings features vacation packages, special entertainment, and unique planning tools to make navigating the theme parks with little ones in tow easier than ever before.
Geared toward enticing families to visit during the time of year when attendance is at its lowest – the very early fall (just after schools have gone back into session), Disney is offering special events and activities including unique character dining experiences, extra operating hours at the Magic Kingdom, live entertainment and concerts, and more.
