Throughout this site (which is designed as a companion to my upcoming guidebook) youll find a wealth of in-depth information on planning, traveling, and enjoying a family vacation in Florida (central Florida to be exact). Included are detailed reviews and ratings of the areas kid-friendliest theme parks, hotels, resorts, and restaurants in andaround Orlando, at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and more.
Information on the best (and kid-friendliest) offerings throughout the coastal areas of Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach will be available soon too!
In addition there are tons of helpful insider tips on traveling with kids in tow and how to survive the experience with your sanity (and your bank account) in tact. The best features of the site however are the numerous updates (including time-sensitive information that is simply is simply impossible to include in a printed guide), weekly happenings (like park hours, show times, parade schedules, and more), special events (like holiday celebrations and festivals), special promotions, and limited-time offers from area attractions, hotels, and restaurants all to ensure youre in the know before you go.
Personalized Vacation Planning (or decision assistance) is available for those who prefer to speak directly with the family travel experts at Travel Insights Group. Theyre happy to help vacationers determine exactly which attractions, activities, and accommodations (among other things) would best suit your familys vacation plans and all based on the specific needs of each individual family. Simply click on Consulting Services for more information about this service (including rates).

Laura Lea Miller
Mother of 5
Author
Travel Writer
Director of Travel Insights Group
As a mother of five children, ages six through fourteen, having traveled throughout the country with and without my family in tow, I offer a unique yet realistic perspective on family travel both from a parents point of view as well as a childs. The expertise I offer stems from traveling both with and without my family, learning along the way from our successes and more importantly our mistakes. This enables me to impart truly useful travel tips, practical cost cuts, and realistic suggestions to share with others regarding what works and more importantly what doesnt and why.
I feel that I offer a unique perspective as I tackle this job from the perspective of an actual traveler - allowing me the unique opportunity to fly the airlines, stay at the hotels, eat at the restaurants, tour the theme parks, and live within the very same time constraints (and family related constraints) that I write about.
